Rather than release another broken release in the form of WWE 2K21, the decision was made to release the first arcade-like wrestling game published by 2K ever since Take-Two Interactive acquired the license in early 2013. Once simulation gameplay took over, it took more skill for players to jump in which minimized the player base.Įach installment became more and more like the last which mimicked what other yearly sports franchises have been doing for decades.
